Where is the thermostat on a MF 1105? Can't remember if I put on in it a few years ago when I replaced the water pump, have no heat in the cab and have flushed the heater core. Has been real cold here and the heater gauge is not registering.

service book says they are interchangeable. I went to NAPA and got 2 new thermostats but they were not identical to the ones I removed so I reused the old ones I have the hood off so if they didn't work no big deal.

yes two of them on top of the housing one of them i believe is on the recirculation side so engine warms up faster the second one allows water to start to flow into radiator they are ussually two different temps 160 degrees on the bypass and 180 on the radiator

they it has 2 are on top of the water pump the top radiator hose is attached to the thermostat housing. I put mine back in this morning and fired up the 1105 and drove her around a while after a engine rebuild. It ran like a top.
