I am considering purchasing a Massey Ferguson 2705 or 2675 and wanted to know if anyone had any feedback on the reliability and durability of these tractors? Also how is the fuel comsumption?

The transmissions seemed to lock up in this area, and flew apart in sub-freezing temperatures.Never had one, just heard. We have had a 3505 with the 8 plus multi power transmission and have had really decent luck to date.

We have a 2705 with the 24 speed transmission. Use it for plowing, land cultivator, disk, pulling wagons and for pulling our sweet potato digger.

We like it and it has been good to us. It has 3400 hrs. on it now. Things we have done are clutch, injection pump and injectors (although I now think that they didn't need doing), water pump (a big job on this tractor), and small stuff.

The 354 is a known good motor. You will likely hear from some folks who have had bad experiences with the 24 speed transmission.

Good luck,
JP.
