MF 165 G176 engine
I need a seal for my power steering pump. The plate on the pump says:
Massey Ferguson INC
No 544 443 M91
GCMX 1753
Pat No 2051914
John S Barnes Corp
Roclford ILL

The number on the seal itself is: JC 043 100-12

The dealer could not find a part number for seal or kit for this pump. It is not in the parts manual. He did find a mention that this pump was used, but no parts numbers.
Where do I look from here?

If you want to try a new seal, take the old one to a "bearings and drives-type" industrial parts store, or a hydraulic repair shop, or even a REAL auto parts store. They can EASILY match it up to a SKF or National seal part number, either in a cross reference, or by measuring it.

In today's world, sadly, it will cost you about $12.00, though!

How did this pump get on a 165? This Barnes pump
is a replacement for the original Cessna pump on
a 135-150 etc, gas tractors. I wouldn't have
guessed that drive gear etc would have matched.
This is a legitimate part # so if it works!. Your
dealer still should be able to supply-I seem to
have all the breakdowns but that one.He should
try the 135-150 parts breakdown. It will not be
shown with anything to do with 165's. Good luck,
Chuck

Parts are no longer furnished through MF for that pump.It subs to #1076742M91 which is about $800.00 ,but we can get a new after-market pump for $375.00 which we have in stock.I do not recommend putting seals in these power steering pumps because they normally do not last very long.Let me know if I can help.
