I have a 1964 35 Delux that a previos owner converted to power steering by putting a small round hydrolic"moter" on top of the steering column. Any body have any idea what this is. It is leaking and I need to fix it but I don't know where to start. I don't see any name on the unit.

Call the guys at Gap Tractor Parts in Cranfils Gap Texas. They are very knowledgeable and have access to a wide field of new after market replacement parts at well below dealer cost. And they even return phone calls. I got a low pressure charge pump for my Massey 1100, from them when everyone else was wanting twice as much and didn't have one. They also have a huge salvage yard and they know their inventory.

And CharLynn is now a part of Eaton Corp who also bought out Cessna Pump. The young men over there are not interested in talking about 50 year old stuff. I tried.

I looked in my old Womack Fluid Power catologue (1986) and Charlynn has a whole page for steering valves/orbital motors
Womack now does not show Eaton or Charlynn as vendors but they may be able to (steer) you in the right direction. Link

SS:

A company named CharLynn once made PS conversions for farm tractors that used hydraulic motors in series with the steering shaft.

I have never seen one on a utility tractor like your 35 but perhaps they made one for it.

I believe CharLynn is out of business but perhaps the seals are standard items.
