I have a 135 gas. The gas guage wire is dis-connected and the ass'y on top of the tank leaks slightly. I've re-attached the wire but it does'nt work. Are these problems easily corrected, or are the gas guages not reliable?
Also, i have no sign of a toolbox on the tractor, where should it be located, and where can i get one?

Hello Kevin -

Senders do act up. Check the gauge too - grounding the wire to the tractor frame (with the tractor running) should give you full reading.

New senders for the 135 are about $32 Cdn ($21 US) here in Canada, with a new gasket. We reworked a sender from a Mack truck for one of ours (shortened the wire carrying the float to give it full travel in the shallow 135 tank).

Had to widen a couple of the mounting holes too, as I recall, with a chain saw file.

A previous post (in the last month or so) indicated the senders were available from NAPA. Haven't tried that source.
