I have got the tractor ready to pull the tranny, ie the front end and engine are out. Wiring harness, hyd lines, brake and clutch pedals removed. Is there a trick to getting the tranny out other than supporting it with a lift and removing the bolts?

Yes, when you think that you are ready check everything again. Make sure the back end is well supported.

be sure to knock a wood wedge in on each side between the front axle and the block casting to prevent it from turning on the axle pivot pin...GaryF
