hey guys. prior to my rebuild, my 135 perkins was running on the 3rd cylinder with broken rings on the 1 and 2. I just rebuilt it with new sleeves, bearings, etc. I had trouble getting to fire up so I rechecked the timings and it was off. Everything is now timed including the fuel pump, but it appears as if the 3rd cylinder is still the only one trying to fire by looking at the piston through the injector holes. could it be the injectors since I have done nothing to them, and if so how do I go about fixing them.

Usually the correct timing on the Perkins engine has one dot on one gear tooth and two dots on the on the opposing gear(ie two teeth are marked with one dot each, and the other gear has just a single tooth marked which meshes between the two marked teeth), it often happens that the gears are aligned with twin dots on each gear, which means the valves and injector pump will be out of sync. Injector pump can then be timed afterwards.
Injectors can be roughly tested by slackening off each pipe union in turn, if it doesn`t affect engine running then it is not firing (beware of high pressure fuel penetrating skin!!) Then swap injectors around to see if that makes a difference. Its a good idea to get the injectors and injector pump tested and serviced by a diesel injection specialist anyway, especially since you have rebuilt the engine, the manual probably will tell you to do this every 1000 hours or so anyway.
If this still doesnt work then it could be blocked fuel and air filter/pipes or an air leak.
