I have a mf 65 that the previous owner put cat 2 lower 3 point hitch arms on from another tractor. When i try to hook up to my brush mower it is too close to the tractor and it cant lift all the way without hitting the tires. I would like to get the right arms but dont know the right length. Any help is appreciated.

Hello, my 65 standard (28 inch) has 34 1/2 inch arms. It also has the cast bracket as described below. I cannot find a replacement for the 34 inch arms. All I and my parts supplier could find were 33 inchers. I was looking to replace as mine were cracked in several places, but they ended up going to the welders. Try taking yours to the weld shop and having them extended to 34.5 inches. You could scour the salvage yards insearch of the right ones and put new clip-in ends on them. The ends cost around 39 a piece new and 22 bucks per used. Adding 50-80 dollars to the price of the salvage arms makes them slightly pricy. The aftermarket arms are 33 inches.

Good Luck with whatever route you choose.

Aaron

Thanks for the reply. I had been looking for info on this and had not thought of asking on here. I have the 38/16.8 wheel and tire. The previous owner said the lift arms and vertical arms were off an Allis Chalmers i believe and they bolted right up. I measured them from center to center and it was 30 1/2". Can the correct arms be bought online? Or is there an extension that can be bought. I was planning on making an extension that went on the end and could be taken off. Thanks

On the 65 the catt.1 vs 2 should be addressed thru the end assemblies that pivot. If it is a
hi clear 38" wheels the length according to the
parts book should be 34 1/2 to hole centers and
30 1/2 on a standard clearance with 28" wheels.
Also, might it have oversize tires, 3 pt internals not adjusted properly, or some other
reason. If it is a hi clearance there is a cast
bracket that holds the 3 pt arm-doesn't go on the
pin on the housing as a standard clearance. Chuck
