Anyone have info, good or bad, on a MF 3525 front wheel assist tractor? I have a chance to buy one to use as a loader tractor. What should I check when I look at the tractor? Thanks

I can't help you on the 4wd area, but they are decent enough tractors. For starters, worked hard or not, they are pigs on fuel, and are contankerous to start in cold weather.Make sure the 3pt works well. They have a computer that controlls the hoist, and if that fails, you are in for big bucks. If it does work, and you do buy it,then make sure that if you remove the batteries for any reason, make sure it is only for a very few minutes. They can loose their memory if they have no power for a length of time.Found that out the hard way with our 3505 when we left it for 10 days with no power while waiting for a new pressure plate and bearing.Another point to watch is the 3pt arms.Keep them fastened from flopping while not in use,or you will cause damage to the electrical components that regulate the controls. If you can be happy with those points,it will give you many years of trouble free service.
