The way it was it was presented in a MF book I once read was that the 130 was a dressed up MF 25 in 100 series clothing.

Additionally the book and other people have alluded to it was a craptastic tractor.

The name of the book escapes me but I think it was one of those 1960s tractor books.

I kinda had a bad feelin about this craptastic tractor. They kinda look like a bad generic version of the 135 to me.

Look in the archives on here. Not a popular tractor and very hard to get parts for. Apparently you could get a 135 for not much more money and have a way better tractor. Dave

Thats what I was thinking. I just thought it might be rare and might be worth restoring if I could get parts. Thanks for the info and keeping me from making a mistake 135 Fan. K.W.

Hi,
Steer well clear of it. Have heard they have a tendency for the oil to gel due to bad breathing and one of the con-rods might make a freedom bid through the side of the block.
It was introduced in the UK in around late 1064 as a very basic low HP run-about. The fact that it was French-made did not help. Most purchasers preferred to go the extra mile and buy a 135 and got twice the tractor for their money.

Hi KW,
Still here. Slight change in job direction means that I am spending 3 and 4 days a week away from home now. Hoping to get laptop set up soon.
