I have a Lincoln SA200 Pipeliner welding machine with a Continental F-162 flathead 4 cyl engine. It is around a "51-"53 vintage. it has a Marvel-Schebler carb on it and I understand some Massey-Harris tractors of that vintage used the same motor. Is this true? If so, where could I buy a carb kit for it? Thanks, John L...

Just google 'TSX308' (or whatever your model is) and you will find a few suppliers.

MH30 and some 101 jrs used the f162. They used a marvel schebler carb however the throttle shafts were different but used the same basic kit (kit without throttle shaft). The model number of the MH30 carb was a TSX307 for the fuel burners and TSX308 for the gas burner, the 101 jr used model number TSX155!

Find the carb numbers, most of the time there on the back side so you have to pull the carb to get them. The use that and call a good auto parts store and they should be able to get you one. Other nice thing is M-S only made 3 or 4 different size carbs and so because of that there is only 3 or 4 carb kits made for them. Just an example but a carb kit that fits a 9N/8N is also the same kit for an Oliver 60 and a good number of others so you stand a good chance that a kit for a 8N will be the same since the engines are close to the same size so the carb will be also
