Hey guys, Sorry but am not used to the old massey tractors. What is a old 4wd tractor worth loose but not running? Paint is decent, no lugs on the steel wheels. Am talking about the old 1920"s or 1930"s version. Thanks

My'book' says total production 4000. It does not give breakdown between Side and Overhead valve. Starting price here in England non runner with all the important parts but not necessarily complete $10'000. A good restoration but maybe not quite as it left the factory and running well $26'000 to $27000. Its certainely very collectable over here. MTF

In my opinion this tractor is the most desireable one that Massey ever built (except maybe the very early Wallis ones)...4 wheel drive, first wholly-produced tractor, I mean the looks alone make it valuable.

As far as 'value' to purchase I would think $10K is fair. Its definitely at the top of my list...I would sell my entire collection if I found one. Can't say that about too many other tractors, if any.

Just my opinion...your results may vary.

Steve.

Guy wants ten thousand for it, but I am sure I can work him down. He knows how hard they are to find, not sure if its a flat head or over head valve engine. Said it will run gaurentees it. But man thats a lot of mula for an old tractor, I like to invest in stuff but not sure it will be a real gainer at that market. Thanks for all your help.

Approx 3000 built between 1930-1936. First tractor actually designed by MH. 226cu Hercules engine, 24.8hp belt, 19.9hp drawbar. No idea on value but would be considered rare collector item

FB:

I cannot help you with value but I know where two of those have been rusting away for years. One with a flathead 4 cylinder engine, the other with an OHV 4 cylinder engine.

Don't ask, the owner will not sell anyting.

I have no idea as to value. But if it is the version pictured below, it would be a very early Massy Harris. I have not seen any for sale. I would think it is very collectable and desirable.
