Has anyone added a turbo unit and intercooler to a Super 90 Diesel? I am planning on trying this winter, but I would like to hear from anyone out there that has done one or has any good pointers. Thanks!

As long as the head is torqued down when at operating temp like the book says, the head gasket holds up fine under hard use. My dad still has 2 of these tractors and worked them very hard, they still run great and are easy on fuel. Also, as long as you keep the radiator clean, overheating isn't an issue either, at least up in Wisconsin anyway. The only thing dad has had to do with his is rebuild the pto clutches a few times, I don't think the clutch will hold up very long with a turbo.

Thanks for the comments. I have just put in a new radiator and the water pump was rebuilt less than a year ago. Does anyone know if I need to have an intercooler or not?

Beware!! The super 90's were notoriouse for over heating as it is. Too small a radiator and a restricting thermostat. Seen quite few of these blow a head gasket when worked hard. Great tractors for there time. Still see alot of them out in the feilds.
