Have a MF135 diesel that someone put on a Delco alt. Was wondering if someone can tell me the correct way it should be wired? Ive checked some of the sites listed here but really cant seem to find anything.
Thanks

I have a 203 that I put a Delco on and I think it went somthing like this.
1. Im guessin yours has a built in regulator. Which would make it easy to wire. Start with running a wire from the battery to the amp gauge stud(the stud that would be to the left when looking at the front of the gauge)

2. Run a wire from the same stud to a toggle switch, then run a wire from the switch to the #1 blade connector on the back of alt.

3. Run a wire from the #2 blade connector on the alt to the charge stud on the alt, and run another wire from the charge stud back to the other stud on the amp gauge(the one to the right when looking at the front)

Note: You can skip using a toggle switch if your key switch has a terminal on it that is hot only when the key is on.
I would also use 14 or 12 gauge wire for the project and solder the wire teminal ends.
Hope I have helped, Holler back at me and let me know if this is what your looking for.

I forgot to mention if you use the toggle switch way, you turn the switch on after you crank it, then turn it back off, this is to entice the alt to charge. Dont forget to turn the switch off or it will discharge. But if your key switch has a terminal that is only hot when the key is on you just need to run a wire from it to the #1 blade on the alt.

every few weeks a good photo with diagrams gets reposted, try the main tractor page archives for Delco-S10 or something close to that

my gasser has the one wire internal regulator version, hot wire to ammeter is it, older versions have side terminals that need to be wired

I think the diesels need some extra step or use an oil pressure switch for something

An oil pressure operated switch that closes on pressure rise is a good way to automatically supply regulator and field power on either a gas or diesel engine. They are available at various pressures, and with both sides of the switch floating so it can switch a hot wire. Else you need a relay. Look through the oil pressure switch catalog at NAPA for numerous examples of switches and relays.
