Hi,
I just got a model 3 from a clearing sale and have found the pluger is stuck firmly in the chamber about 3inches from the front. The gearbox still turns fine as does the chain. I cannot see anything obstructing the plunger and have tried belting it out but it doesn"t budge. Would people recommend fixing one end of the baler to a tree and puller the chamber out toward the back with the tractor? I fear if I just connect the pto to the tractor it will just shear the pin off. Oh, the baler was supposidly used last year but may have been 2 years ago. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your help, it worked a treat. There was a lot of rust in the guides that the plunger runs along. I would say it has hasn't been used for a very long time from how seized it was. Anyway, I have greased her up and its running really well.

Good advice from JJ. Sometimes the best is a heavy wood post to ram it a bunch of times. This
usually loosens it up to be able to pull it easier

This is a common problem and is usually caused by rust build up behind the plunger runners. Remove the 6 adjusting bolts from left side, loosen the lock nuts top and bottom, A water hose sprayed in behind the runners will sometimes soften up the rust. I used a come-along fastened to a tree, to pull them out, that and a good bashin' with the big hammer !!. Once ya get it out you will have to remove the runners an' get rid of all the crud then adjust back to specs.
