My 135 diesel will jump out of low 2nd to neutral sometimes when I"m mowing. It stays in 3rd okay. 6 speed trans, multipower does work. Any ideas about what the problem may be? Thanks.

Hi,
It is a common problem and can be one of several causes. The spring situated under the steering box can go weak or break and not hold the gear. The plunger under the spring can loose its point making it easier to slide in and out or most unlikely there is gear damage which is forcing the gears apart.
First step is to remove the instrument panel etc and preferably remove the steering box. This will show the springs and plungers. Replacement of the springs and plungers is advisable. Be very careful refitting the s/box as it is possible to jam the springs.
