I have a MH Challenger s/n 1300085. Any body have any info on when MH changed over to red? This tractor has little color left to the paint and looks as though it could have been either color. I'd also like to know if anyone knows locations of any earler Challengers and how many might have been made unstyled like this one. Thanks

I have a Challenger here in New Zealand which we have had since new. #130 988 Green in colour and still in light use. It has had an interesting life replacing the horses. Has spent most of it's life with tyre chains for added traction and a blade opperated from a winch driven of the PTO. It has a self starter driven from a Dodge Starter/Generator. It has had 2 very comprehensive overhauls and still in great order.

I'll email you some info on the Challenger that I got from a book all about Massey Harris called "MASSEY TRACTOR DATA BOOK" by Keith Oltrogge, an excellent book of resources of Massey's from 1910 to the late fifties. Stan
