1105 stuck in gear. Talked to dealer and he said if I can't reach in there and grab the linkage that is conected to the trans and move it then something must be stuck in there and they may have to take the cab off to get to it. He said on some models it is real easy to fix because it is in the gear shift linkage out of place but that is not the case with mine, any help would be appreciated?

Are you sure it isn't in the linkage? My 1150 did that once, and I had to take the dash apart and found the linkage slide had jammed. It came loose pretty easily, and I found a grease zerk on the end of the main shaft, after greasing it up, it hasn't happened since.

That is what I already tried. I talked to my dealer and that is what he said to do but I could not get anything to move except the high- low lever but the gear lever won't budge. Maybe I am missing something on that linkage, what part did you have to move?

Two of the linkage arms were locked together because the slide shaft wasn't greased up, they apparently got locked when I tried to go from 2nd gear to reverse. What I did was tap on the slide shaft while wiggling the shift lever, I sprayed a lot of penetrating lube on everything also. You should be able to see by moving the lever, wether or not the console linkage is the problem or if it is in the transmission. Or as a last resort you could disconnect the rods that go to the transmission and then see if the shifter works properly. I hope this helps.

thanks,

I will try disconecting the linkage at the trans. The shifter shaft moves left and right, just not up and down. Mine got stuck while shiftign between 1st and reverse, my dealer said I dribble shifted it.
