Does anyone know if a V8.540 engine of a 1155 is fitting in a MF 1150 without problems? Does these engines have a different sound or other different things except the power??

The 540 will go in the 1150 but you need to change some things. You need to use the 1150 bellhousing & flywheel, clucth & starter. It has been alot of years since I did a swicth but I think you also have to change the oil pan, oilfilterhousing & the oil tubes from pump to filter hsg because you need to take the engine mounted oil cooler off so there is room for the starter. The starters are on opposite sides of the engine. Not a hard job, just takes a little time. You can use the 1155 starter, but you need to rotate the nose to fit the opposite side of engine. You will also need to change the exhaust manifolds.

Thanks Holm, seems to be a lot of work. Do you know or something else: after some seconds of starting the engine of my 1150 there is a rushing - don t know from where. It begins after the engine is running 2-5 seconds. Some people say it is the injector pump??
