Vacherie, Lever Shaft is inside and outside the gearbox. It s near the foot clutch pedal and it almost look like spline and goes into gearbox and rod to steering wheel. The part # i got from Lever Shaft. I dont have part book with me. Farmer D5

If you have Pony Tractor Service Manual and look at page 59 and Fig. 114 and you will see Lever Shaft.

I found the lever shaft.

The parts are for a Ross Gear and Tool steering gear.

Ross Number 7978-5-1/2 Massey number 1-500-333-M11
or Ross no. 9422-6 Massey number 1-503-398-M11.
I think the second numbers are for the 1954 Pony.

I think I have one.

Ken

I have looked through my Pony parts book but could not find either part number. A picture or a description might help. I have a parts Pony and might have what you need.

So what lever shaft are you talking about, most of us don't have part number books. Some of this stuff can be made in your home work shop
