Long time reader, highly infrequent poster...
I just wanted to say a big "thank you" to all who take the time to share of their broad knowledge of these old iron horses.
I'm a city kid, now living on an acreage, and even the most routine of maintenance on these machines would've been beyond me with out the assistance gleaned from this forum.
TomTX - your step-by-step instructions on how to open the CAV injection pump and note the position of the spring in relation to the "tombstone" were right on the money.
DavidP - your useful tips, particularly with respect to the bleeding of the fuel system were a huge help.
Big Dean - your exploded diagram of the pump and instructions were also invaluable. A picture is truly worth a thousand words.
To that end, I'd like to post a couple of pix of my CAV injector pump with the top removed that I snapped during the "surgery" the other day.
Hopefully someone will find these to be of use.
That a city kid like me can even attempt this repair, never mind successfully complete it, speaks to the quality and the availability of the information freely traded herein.
Thank you all!

You are welcome. The leaking around the throttle shaft and cut off shaft is so common on the CAV pumps that I saved a word file with the instructions so I can just cut and paste when someone needs help. It is nice of you to give out a little feedback. tom
