It's me again still struggling long with my newest purchase. Where can I find a site that would give information on age of MF equipment other than tractors, (mowers ect.) and model by serial number? My model tag is blank but ther serial number is there. I am also still searching for blade guards and plates for this unit. SN 238-0705688. None of my part numbers on my bar parts match up with MF numbers even though all parts are original. Thanks for any information.

Find a kind and co-operative Massey Ferguson dealer. Parts listings will have serial #'s. Try various models until you find one with serial #'s in the same range as yours.

Does it have a pitman arm? Or not? That'll narrow the search down somewhat. Post back and someone will give you various model #'s with or without pitman.

The machine does have a 34" pittman arm, 7/16th in thick bar, with 24 knives on the cutter bar if that is any help. Thanks again.

I have a pitman MF mower with a 6 ft bar.
It is a #32
MF dealer has always had all the parts I needed for the bar.
