From an "inconvenient owner" who knows nothing about tractors, well almost nothing

Have a MF1135, the PTO will not stop, appears PTO clutch is not operational. Does the PTO clutch get fluid from the rest of the hydraulic system? Linkage to the valve under the dash is good, can feel the valve "engage", but nothing else. Is this a minor problem or is this a major teardown repair? Understanding the safety implications, engage the PTO once I get to the field, can I still use the tractor to mow?

What is MultiPower and how does it work?

Could be your PTO plates are warped from slipping or hard engagements and are not allowing the output shaft to stop. It is a half a day job for a seasoned mechanic to fix. Not sure of price, have not done one for about 25 years. The multipower is a feature that allows you to "drop" a gear slower for hard pulling conditions. For best results, keep it in the high position as it will free wheel going down hills as you will have no engine braking capabilities, only your foot brakes.

This is probably not what you want to here but yes its tied into the low pressure hydraulic circut, I have 2 - 1135s & cant find anyone around her to fix the same problem. One 1135 has a pto that works good and when i need to use the other 1135 I will shut the
engine off, go behind at the left side and pull the Manual PTO ON/OFF out. Then go crank up & go on, usually when the pto has problems the steering and multipower will be next, they all work off the low pressure hyd.
