Could someone please tell me the proper tire pressure for my Massey-Ferguson's (35) rear tires? I do not have an owners manual. Also - does anyone know if they have fluid and/or air in them - many thanks!

Thank you all for your help! I'll add air this weekend and glad to have a heads-up regarding the fluid. Teasel

According to the scanned "Service Manual for All MF35 Tractors" I have on disk, front (4 x 19) are 26psi, rear (10 x 28) are 12psi. Hope this helps.

10-28 or 11-28 tires should be 12-16lbs
13-24 tires 14-18lbs

Without any additional weight on the wheel usel the minimum amount and increase 1 psi per 100 lbs of wheel weight. up to the max pressure.

That is what the book says....

Thus 12-16 psi will do.

About 14 to 16 psi for bias ply tires. Less for radial.

To test for liquid, turn them until the valve stem is as low as it goes and push the plunger with a tooth pick or piece of baling wire or a small screwdriver. If you get liquid, they have liquid, it you get air they don't have liquid. There is NO WAY for anyone to know whether they have liquid or not without doing that test. There's no predeliction to have or not have liquid. After one of my rear tires split and soaked the tractor with CaCl that rusted it instantly through the paint, no tractor of mine will have Calcium chloride for any reason.

If there is liquid you need a liquid gauge for the air pressure, an ordinary air gauge won't survive the corrosion of the liquid.

There is always some air with the liquid, tires generally are never filled more than 3/4 full otherwise the tire won't stand up to the abuse of 100% liquid. And the ride would be the same as an iron wheel of yore.
