Couldn't find any square-cut orings like the parts book calls for, so I used standard orings in the bottom ports.....Working fine so far. Thanks guys for the help.

Couple more questions....I didn't use the little brass restrictor plate in the valve's standpipe port, why was it in there?

Also, you can see the slide-lock on the left control lever. It doesn't have anything to "lock" into. Have I installed the lever backwards?

The detent ball holds the lever back so the quadrant levers work normally, but climbing on or off the tractor w/ my big feet could accidentally pop it to center w/o a positive lock.

Yes it's backwards. It locks it on the front of the pivot in the forward position. Where the control levers thread into the handle can be adjusted so the detent ball will stay in position or kick out when max. pressure is reached. There is a manual on a different site but others can probably explain it as well. It's good to have it so it stays tight on the left lever for the 3 pt. It may pop out the odd time as well. If using the right lever to operate a cylinder always make sure to return the lever to neutral or it will be under constant pressure which will cause damage unless it is going to another control valve such as for a loader. That's what I have on mine. The loader valve works way better and has float position as well as a constant flow return oil line so the system isn't under constant pressure. Hope this helps. Dave

Thanks Dave. I did notice the detent ball pressure adjustment on that left lever. It was popping out when I tried to lift the bush hog w/ the quadrant lever. It holds fine now after screwing it down.

The right lever is a replacement & not as long, so I may need a longer spring to make it hold, though I can't really see a need for it on that side.

If I understood the earlier discussions, using the left valve to power an aux. cylinder will divert oil from the 3-point, making it inoperable.

Jeff

I'm not sure but that makes sense. Dave
