Hi
I was wondering if anyone can help. I have a massey ferguson 135 (UK Model). Does anyone know where the hydraulic filter in the back axle is located? Standard Ferguson Hydraulics. And also does anyone know where the water temperature sensor goes? Information on how to install both would be really great as I'm learning as I go along with fixing it up. Whats the best way to change the engine and hydraulic/transmission oil?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks very much David, the tractor is an early type - 1967 ad3.152 diesel - Gerald, all that and more is not covered in the operators manual of which i have three, possibly in the workshop manual which i do not have. Would you have an idea? I bought a new hydraulic filter and the o ring came with it (presume this is a rubber o ring?).

Does anyone know where the temperature sensor goes? And how to properly install this?

Also I wondering what is the best way to wire lighting? Wire thickness, routing, how many wires?

How do you wire up the light switch? Can flashers be put on?

I know there is lots of questions here but the help and advice would be very much appreciated!

Hello,
Indeed most thing are the same as North American models. Is your tractor an early or late model? If it is a late one you may find a triangular plate on the underside of the rear centre transmission casing. Drain the oil from the plug in the rear casing and for a complete drain remove the plug at the bottom of the gearbox.
If yours is an early type, drain the oil and remove the left hand round side cover. The filter is enclosed in a metal cup top and bottom. There should be a locking wire to secure it to the pump to prevent it coming undone. Cut the wire. Be careful as there are a lot of sharp edges in the vicinity. Unscrew the filter body and remove with both cups. There is a large O ring at the bottom. Make sure that comes out with the filter or stays on the pump. The filter can be replaced but generally a wash out with a degreaser or petrol will suffice. Re-installing is a tricky job so patience is needed. In 34 years with MF's I have never had a filter work loose. If you have some soft wire, even a strand of copper wire from some domestic flex fit that or maybe a cable tie.
Cheers

All that and 100 other things you need to know are covered in the operator's manual.
