I am looking into buying a 1967 MF 2200 backhoe(222)/loader(200). It has a z134 engine. I know that they used that engine in the 35, 50, 202, 204. What I would like to know is if parts are still available for the rest of the machine. The tractor is a "Ran when Parked" so I know It will need plenty of work but I sure could use a backhoe around this place.

It is probably a MF 2135 which is an industrial version of a MF 135 with the biggest differences being the front axle and the transmission. The motor is made by Continental and rebuild kits are available.

It is probably either a 2203 or 2205 depending on the tranny. 2200 forklifts were also made. Backhoe parts will be hard to find. Drivetrain will most likely be common with other MF models. What transmission? It may or may not be easy to get parts for. The dealer here has a 220 Perkins gas forklift that they claim refuses to die. Dave

The trans is a 3 speed with a hi&lo and a shuttle.
