I am going to be looking for a new seat cushion. I have been watching some on e-bay. Do I need to be concerned with different quality of cushions? I want a good one and don't want to end up with a low quality seat. I could use some insight on this.

While it was a good price and arrived quickly, the eBay cushion set for my MF 35 didn't quite fit. The screws for the backrest seemed 1/4" too close together. After three years the vinyl on the seat has started coming off, though the seat remains comfortable and waterproof.

Three years of comfort for about sixty dollars? Not that bad. I'd buy another.

Hello,
Needless to say that the cushions available today are not the same qualoty as those originally supplied. The material is usually OK but the stitching can often fail. Also the strap underneath used to be made of heavy canvas but now it is more of a cotton material which can chafe on the seat and also rots quicker. Don't assume that you will have original quality even if you buy MF '10+' parts. MF sources some of these parts from the same manufacturers as non-genuine parts suppliers.
Cheers
