I do not have a manual for my rebuilt 35 utility (gas). What are the two nested square levers outside the fingertip draft controller?

You are using the wrong description here, there is only ONE square lever with a Square slide marker, this is the DRAFT control, it controls the depth in the ground and also if you need external power to operate a loader or a trailer. The round knob lever is POSITION control this does the up and down lifting whenever you want it at the end of a row when you want to lift the implement, it also controls the RESPONSE, that is how fast the implement drops as it travels along as no ground is flat and the hydraulics are lifting and lowering all the time, if you set this round knob lever just over half way in the response section it will give the tractor more traction on the rear wheels, So lift with position Control then move the same lever to just over half way down in response section, then set the depth with the square DRAFT control and when you have the correct depth, put both the square "levers" together and lock the outer one up with the big round knob. All you need to do now is alter the depth if it needs it with the square one within the range of the outer marker and lift and lower with position control and then put this same lever in the response section, if the implement doesn't follow the ground, then lift the position control lever up a LITTLE until it does. Try to run with the response lever as slow as possible to get maximum traction. I have all this written out properly if you need the correct instructions just email me at:-
