Good day,

Just wondering if anyone is familiar with a way to convert my Massey Harris 33 to power steering?
Any help would be appreciated.

i know PS is nice but that 33 should not steer that hard. more then likely your steering gear box is dry and the bearings in the front are shot and dry that tractor is 50 plus years old grease, oil and bearings will do wanders

I will check that thanks...this tractor also has a massey harris loader on it..any kind of load in the bucket sure binds the steering...what is the recommended oil for the gearbox?

Thanks

Sheldon

if you don't fix the front end and put PS on it you will just bust the hel- out of the front end. just drop the front end out and rebuild it

You can still get Char-Lynn units, you willhave to make your brackets to mount it but it was and is the best replacement unit.It pays to have a separate pump, just works better(go to a junk yard and get one from a car).
