Got a mf135 that has no hydraulic couplers on the back of the tractor. I am wanting to put a set of 2 on. The tractor has a loader on it. Between you legs are 3 levers. One for the bucket, one for the boom, one for the three point hitch. How can i install a lever and couplers on the tractor to run a log splitter.

Corey:

Does your tractor have a front mounted, crankshaft driven hydraulic pump to operate your loader?

If so, you can adapt it to operate your log splitter.

If not, although you can operate a log splitter from your tractor lift pump, you will almost certainly find the cycle time too long due to the limited capacity of the pump.

A better solution is a PTO driven pump if you do not have a front mounted loader pump.
