This is a picture of the back of my great grandfathers 1951 44-6 that I am restoring. I just thought that there should be a hydraulic pump on the right hand side next to the seat. I don't know what it would be for, but I have seen 44's with them that I think is used to lower and lift implements or somthing like that. All that is there is a lever for the culitavtor lift. Should there be something else there? If there is a hydraulic pump somewhere else on the tractor, I would like to know where it is. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Dalton,Very-very few 44-6s had hyds.on them, what you are thinking of is the hyd.cyl.under the seat for the lift."NOW,since you are new to this tractor,TAKE THAT ARM OFF UNDER THAT SHIELD ON THE LEFT OF THE SEAT,BECAUSE ONCE IT MOVES IT DOESN'T STOP UNTIL ITS CYCLE IS COMPLETE.If you ever do use that lift,MAKE SURE THAT SHIELD IS ON OVER THAT ARM."Now before anyone says anything about the capital letters,I cannot count the number of people that lost a foot or part of a foot to those lifts BECAUSE they were too lazy or in a hurry or though they were too smart to put that cover on,so be carefull and good luck with your new tractor
