Gas tank repair JB weld,solder, braze what??

My tank has a small crack where the bolt hole is in front should I reseal with POR 15, bronze or solder or use JB weld any advice would be great. regards

The car parts places and many farm stores have kneadable epoxy. I think Plastic Steel is one name for it. Works okay. Prep the surface like the instructions say, cut off a piece, mash it around a bit and and put it on. Sets up in a few minutes, completely hard in a day or less.

The resto way would be to go to solder or weld in a patch piece, grind it smooth, etc. You have to decide how fussy you need to be.

If it's a gas tank rather than a diesel tank you are obviously going to have to be a lot more careful with any kind of heating approach.
