I am trying to widen the front end on my Massey Harris 44-6. I have all the bolts out that need to be out, and I have the clamp that goes around it loosened. I just can't get the thing to slide out. Is there some trick I can do, so it will slide out? I am also wondering how to make the wheel itself straighter because right now it is pointing inward. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Looks like you didnt remove the wdge bushings on top and under the housing where you removed the bolts that loks the inner tube. It is tapered so as you draw the bolt (that is the bolt that gose down thru the housing towards the outter ends)it draws the bushing into the housing locking the inner and outter tubes together. The upper one must be drivin out from the bottom up and the bottom one from the top down!! Even then they can be reall difficult!! May have to heat outter tube and use a port-a-power!!
