How much does a Massey Harris 44-6 gas wiegh? I know the MH 44-4 weighs 5800 lbs because of the Nebraska tests. Will a 6 cylinder weigh that much more? It cant be over 6500 lbs. Well I hope it doesnt weigh any more than that or it will exceed my trailer capabilities. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

I one reference that says 44-6 std 4200 pounds, 44-6 RC 3600 pounds but found another reference that says shipping weight 44-4 Std is 4500 pounds vs 44-4 Row Crop 4165 pounds - agree 5800 is ballasted - so unless you have the aux weights (typically 150 pounds per weight per side on rear) and/or cast rear centers and/or fluid in tires (recommend you drain & reinflate) you are probably closer to 4000 +/-200 pounds.

Dalton, The weight of a 44-6 (shipping wt.)is
3600 lbs. This is without fluid in tires. A 44-4
is only slightly more. It is when tested with the
cast wheels and other equipment that the weight
rises. Chuck
