I cleaned the hydraulic filter on my '74 MF 135 and there was a piece of wire wrapped around top of cup to keep it from working itself loose, but it wasn't attached to anything. What is it supposed to be wired to?

The flat metal plate that sticks up from the pump for the pump control lever to connect to has a small hole in it that the the filter tie wire goes through. I have a picture that show how the filter tie wire goes. If you would like to have it send me an email address and I will email it to you.
