I"m looking to buy a 100-150hp tractor and was wondering what Massey"s you guys recommended? It needs to have a cab and A/C. I will probably put about 100hrs on it a year planting, mowing, and baling big round bales.

I like the look and sound of the 1155"s, but know nothing about them.

I was raised a JD guy, but they have priced themselves right out of my reach in my area. The Masseys seem to be about half price of the JD"s.

You can't beat a good used Massey when it comes to price. The key here is "Good" As long as everything works good, and the tractor has been well maintained, they are very heavy, durable, and well built tractors, including the V8's.

a good friend of mine has a couple of massey tractors. he says massey parts are high priced more so than case ih. for that reason he is getting away from agco equipment. those 2700 seris tractors are a headache stay away from them. a man i worked for had one it was in shop more than at home. mechanic said all of the ones they sold were like that said they should have been cut up for junk.

May be better off staying away from the v-8's.1105's,and 1135's were good tractors. Also may be best to stay away from the 2000 series tractors that came out next, transmission lock up habbits. The 3000 series that came after that were ok though, same style of tractors with most of the problems taken care of.3505 (maybe abit on the low hp end at 95),3525 and 3545 were decent enough tractors.Best of luck,pd.
