I no this sounds stupid. But I can not remember were two small springs go on the Massey 35. The springs are about 1" long or so and maybe .5" around. I think that they go under the front of the gas tank. Can someone tell me if there are springs under the gas tank and the mounting bracket. I should have paid more attention when takeing all the sheet metal and all off.
Thanks,
Keith

Keith:

The springs go between the fuel tank nounting bracket and the thermostat housing (Perkins diesel). The carriage bolts go inside of the springs and steel and rubber washers are used to prevent wear of the gas tank bracket.

The springs serve to vibration isolate the tank to help prevent cracking of the bracket and tank.

On my 35 the springs are between the bottom of the tank and where the bolts thread into the tractor. On the front two bolts. I assume they are in the right location.
