Hey folks,

Need a little help with my 175. Got the steering resolved, now having auxilliary hydraulic issues. When trying to lift a Fella hay mower with the remotes, it just won"t do it and the relief valves squeal. Does the same with my new round baler, won"t lift the back up, just squeals. Is there and internal adjustment for the releif valves? My Independent PTO works though. Doesn"t the same pump run both? MultiPower doesn"t work, gonna try the linkage adjustment first. Then, I"ll tap into the "T" and check pressure there. I"m hoping the pump is good and another minor adjustment problem instead. The MP oil cooler does get pretty warm with the tractor running. Should I plumb a "T" into the hydraulic line runing to the implement and check the pressure output for the remotes against what the manual calls for?

As always, thanks for any input.

The first thing I would check would be the quick coupler ends to be sure they match the ends on the tractor if they do not match they will not push the valves open or if they are not plugged in good. As for the pump it is a two stage pump the front set if gears are for Independent PTO and Multipower the pressure regulator valve is inside the bellhousing and control the pressure for both of them. The back set of gears is for the auxiliary hydraulics and has a separate relief valve for that part. It is actually two separate pumps in one housing. You can have one part in good condition and the other part not. It sound more like a restriction causing the relief valve to blow to me.

Check for air lock. Take the couplers apart and put them back together. It seems strange but I just put new quick couplers on my Cat for the backhoe and the front bucket tilt had no power to raise the front of the Cat and made noise. I couldn't figure out what was wrong but took the resevoir cap off to relieve air and uncoupled the quick connects and put them back together and everything worked fine. Hopefully your problem is as simple. dave
