mustang front axle support, salvage mustangs?

Hello everyone. Have a 53 mustang that runs great minus a waterpump that needs replacing (but think I have one found). However, an old repair has pretty much given way and I don't dare drive the tractor from my field at this point. The front cast iron bell housing that the factory wide front sets in and pivots from had been welded up years ago and now a weld is badly cracked. I think the whole thing should probably get tossed at this point since the repair was pretty shabby at best when it was done. I'm now trying to find a replacement axle support somewhere, anywhere? Also, can you guys tell me if this same cast housing was used on any other widefront models? One quick way to check is that the steering arms sit in front of the axle rather than behind like many models. Any help would be greatly appreciated since I've tried everything I can think of to find one around here. Thanks!
