Wile using my tractor this summer it is pushing oil out the top of steering column. Does anybody have the cure? Is there a breather plugged, or something else wrong? Any advice would be helpful.

I also have a TO-35, just completed mid summer maintenance check on tractor the other day. Pulled battery and checked oil level in steering gearbox, it was full. Replacement steering gear box is about $375 at a local tractor parts house.

I do not know of a vent plug for gearbox. As I said mine was full, but have never noticed any leakage.

1. Check level, if full I would suck out some oil, maybe lower it one inch.

2. I am surprized no one else has responded as I am sure others know this gear box front to back.
