Friend has a 203. The tph arms raise real slow and jerky, won't pick up more than 100 lbs, then when they are up, if you shut off tractor they go right back down. Seems like a pump and piston problem to me. Need to know what it takes to get to pump and what is involved in taking the rock shaft assembly off and if a manual is avail to do this. Thanks in advance

Dave

Hi,
Is there enough oil in the system?
Jerky operation can be caused by a blocked filter.
The arms dropping is more of a problem. It suggests that you have a major leak or leaks inside. Possible causes are the main lift piston rings broken, loose housing, O rings anywhere failed, split stack pipe, scored pump oistons(they may not have rings fitted). Excessive play in the control spring assembly. Do NOT attempt to remove the main lift shaft without removing the cover first. With the cover removed you can see and remove the main lift piston. Pleanty of manuals available but the degree of coverage might be limited.
