A couple of people on here told me awhile back to put a test light to the wire on my fuel gauge sending unit to see if i had power going to it, which i don't (the gauge sets on E all the time), so does that mean the gauge is also bad or should i try running a new wire to it before i replace things.

No fuel gauge is going to work without power going to it.

In order to be of help to you on the fuel gauge we need to know what model MF tractor and which engine you have. The fuel gauge gets it's power from different places according to the model and engine.
