I have a MF65, '63 model with the perkins diesel. I need new power steering hoses. I have tried putting new hoses on the old tubing with compression fittings. The compression fittings fail after a while. I would like to get new factory style hoses or get some adaptor fittings to go from inverted flare to jic and make up some new hoses that you can get built anywhere. Does anyone know where I could get some hoses or fittings? I know the fittings are unique because they are longer than standard inverted flare. Thanks,
D.R

Thanks you for all of your input. I found another place here locally that claims to be able to make these hoses. If they are not able I would be interested in the unions that Don-Wi is using. Thanks,
DR

I just got some fittings from a shop that makes up new steal lines to repair the hardlines on our haybine. It's a compression fitting made for hydraulics and high PSI's- It actually uses a union with the same male flare as used on the hose that connected to the original hard line. I know this because I cross threaded on of the unions, so just to get it home I connected the hose right to the compression fitting, and on Monday when they're open I'll get another union.

Cost me less than $50 for 3 unions, the 6 sleeves and nuts made for the compression flare type fitting, and 3 peices of hard line 8" long with the proper flare, nut and sleeve on the end . They were stamped with EATON on them. I've alos gotten similar fittings at the local Automotive Supply store (federated franchise) and they work just as well, they sell Gates brand hose/fittings.

I'll try to take a picture of it when I have to finish fixing it properly.

I think our 165 even has one of these fittings on it for a steering line. They work great.

D.R., I have to believe a good auto parts store
can come up with these fittings even if they have
to get from their warehouse. I have seen the
catalogs with all the avail fittings and it is
awesome. Around the twin cities we have companies
that specialize in making hoses. $ 247 is heart-
breaking. Good luck, Chuck

I can still get one of the hoses from Massey, part #190805M91 for $247. Part#190804M92 is no longer available. I would love to get some adaptors and put on some hydraulic hoses. This makes more sense than paying $247. Either way I don't have a choice on the hose that is discontinued.
