I put the new draft plunger in and my 3 pt. works again. I never knew the hydraulics don't work at all with the draft spring off. Anyway the 3 pt. lifts all the way to the top now which is better. If I push down or stand on my box scraper the 3 pt. goes down some but if I let off it goes all the way back up. I did notice that when I use the draft control to lower the box blade the 3 pt. chatters if I'm only moving the draft lever about a 1/4 or less of the way down. If I push the draft lever all the way it drops smoother. It chatters till the arms are about parallel with the ground and then is smooth. It works properly in the ground. Is this normal or do I need to fiddle with the tightness of the draft spring a little? It is smooth lowering with the position control. Any thoughts? Thanks. Dave

It doesn't chatter at all with the position control. I'll check the end float again. I had the draft control all the way down but not positive I had the aux. hydraulic lever pulled back so the 3 pt. controls operate. I have a 2 spool valve on the lift cover. One is for the 3 pt. Dave

Hi,
As long as you have set the spring to be stiff to turn by hand and removed all end float with the DRAFT lever down, you can do no more. I would suggest that you check the end float again. When lowering, are you moving the POSITION lever down slowly? If so each step you make the system will try and resume the neutral position which may well lead to the chattering you describe.
Regards
David
