I think I have read about every post on this site and have got a lot of good information. I have a 40B industrial with the two steering cylinders behind the front axle. Problem is when running low RPM and steering wheel is turned the wheels don't turn. Increase RPM and tractor steers good. I do not have a front end loader. Would the fluid be bypassing o rings in the cylinders or would the problem be in the orbital steering unit? Cylinders would probably be easier to rebuild as the parts book only shows a couple of o rings and a seal. This is a 1978 tractor with no other problems. Thanks DH

Had a similar problem with my recently purchased MF30E Industrial loader/backhoe. Bought a new P/S pump off of this web sit $250 plus $25 dollars shipping and installed same this weekend. After bleeding the system 2-3x's and adding permtan to top of filler, I have PS again (remember to turn very hard to the right and you will hear air escaping-do several times.)What I don't understand is I lay out $250 dollars for the pump and the supplier could'nt include the one-dollar gasket between the pump and engine block. Thank God I'm old-school (shop Teacher) and cut my own replacement. There is a filter in the pump that should be replaced regularly, but my engine had 3400 plus hours, so the 13 teeth gear pump from Pakastain was the wise choice. Good Luck

I have a '79 30B which shows the same problem at low rpm. Select a lower gear and increase rpm and she streers fine. I think that's just how they were made.
