TO 35 ignition wiring

I had starting problems and discovered that three of the ignition wires were grounding, one against the exhaust, and two others against the body. I replaced all of the ignition wires and the tractor starts, but then shuts off when I release the start button. I obviously have routed a wire incorrectly and do not know which one is wrong. I suspect it is one of three going to the starter button. I do have the wiring chart in a parts manual, but some on the chart are not routed the same as some on the tractor that I know are the way they were before I started replacement, such as one wire from the ammeter that goes to the top of the solenoid instead of the "L" tab on the regulator. I currently have no wire to the "L" tab on the regulator and I am pretty sure there was one there when I started the replacement of the old wires. I know I should have done one wire at a time, but I unfortunately did not. Any advice you have on what wires go from where on the starter button to where in the system would be welcome right now.

You've wired your coil wire into the starter solenoid on the starter side. When you press the button, your starter and coil are energized so when you release the button the coil and the starter are de energized. Your engine starts and then shuts off. Move the coil wire to the connection that the key switch is on.

Jerry, You were partially correct. The coil wire was going to the key switch, not the solenoid. It is to go to the started button, where I placed it as well as routed a wire from the "L" tab on the regulator to where it should go and now it all works fine. Thank you very much for your help. Mark

Matt, The chart you gave me the link to was the ticket. I spent quite a bit of time looking for such an online chart and could not find one. The tractor is up and running after switching 3 wires I had on wrong. Thank you for your time and help in resolving this for me. I'm on the road again! Mark
