I have a massey ferguson that is a 205-4 I am looking at. The man wants $5000 or will consider a trade. I am not familiar with the model 205-4. It is a 3 cyl diesel, 4-wheel drive. What year range would this model be? What is the horsepower rating? What are a lot of common likes and dislikes? Thanks in advance folks.

I agree with the other poster. The price seems a little high. Located in SE PA, I have an MF 220 (26.4 PTO HP, 2WD) with an MF 216 loader. It is also a 2 cyl diesel. I paid $4500 for it and got the loader, bush hog, and a rake with it. It needed work. Parts are hard to come by but you can find them if you look for them. Try www.jackssmallengines.com

Hi, The 205-4 was sold 1979-1984. It is a 2 cyl.
not 3. The HP is 16.4. There is no live PTO. I
checked the MF locator and found none for sale to
use as a guideline. The last one sold close to me
sold for a little less than that with a QT loader.
When I was in business we sold some of them. The
quality was good, but I have heard on this site
that parts can be a little hard to come by. In my
opinion the price is a little high. Good luck, Chuck
