I had starting problems and discovered that three of the ignition wires were grounding, one against the exhaust, and two others against the body. I replaced all of the ignition wires and the tractor starts, but then shuts off when I release the start button. I obviously have routed a wire incorrectly and do not know which one is wrong. I suspect it is one of three going to the starter button. I do have the wiring chart in a parts manual, but some in there are not routed the same as some on the tractor that I know are correct, such as one wire from the voltmeter that goes to the top of the solenoid instead of the "L" tab on the regulator. I currently have no wire to the "L" tab on the regulator and I am pretty sure there was one there when I started the replacement of the old wires. I know I should have done one wire at a time, but I unfortunately did not. Any advice you have on what wires go from where on the starter button to where in the system would be welcome right now.
