Hello Dad drug a pony home from an auction yesterday. Supposed to be a good running tractor, but it has some electrical issues. I'm getting rid of the 4ga cables and bolt on ends. The battery was hooked up positive ground which I believe is correct, but when I try to charge the battery the reverse connection light on my charger comes on. I guess that I am looking for confirmation of the positive ground and a wiring diagram as I think that a lot of it is wired wrong. The sn is PGA4879A. thanks Loy

My problem is that someone else already rewired, and it looks wrong to me. I will admit that I am a bit weak in the generator area. thanks Loy

My Pony is Positive ground. A 1949 PGA9875A. If the wireing has been messed with and you can find a wireing diagram, the best thing I found is to tear out the old and start over. I had to do that with both my first 101jr and 44-6. Now my next toy, another 44-6 is a real mess (wrap the wire around the terminal to start-changed to 12V, which will be going back to 6V, and on and on). Good luck
